From what i know isn't the stock tooth count for the rear 40? I got a new rear sprocket that has 42 tooth count just want to make sure i got the right tooth count.

 

I checked out kawasaki.com and the factory size is 40 teeth rear sprocket.

 

You may have gotten a ZX6RR or an 05 sprocket.

 

My 06 has a 43 tooth rear.

 

You're right. My 03 has a 40 tooth and I have a couple of 05-06 hubs and they both have 43 tooth sprockets on them.

 

I just ordered a 45 tooth Stealth tri-metal rear.

 

Yeah, Im gonna get the Tri-Metal whenIswap my wheels and a gold chain also. I'm going one tooth bigger in the front for less RPM during cruise/ commute, more top speed and more accurate speedo too. Bike plenty quick enough and I'm having a hard time keeping the front down anyway.
