Default Swing Arm Stands and Front Fork Lift

I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on swing arm stands and front fork lifts? I would like to get one to make cleaning and working on my bike easier. I know absolutely nothing about them. Any advice would be great! ohh I have a 2005 ZX-6R and I have added swing arm sliders.

a rear stand is a must for oil changes and just all around maintenance. Front stand is needed for front tire changes and making the bike level when up on stands.
you can spend a little or a lot I have bought mine from www.redlinestands.com. His are cheaper in cost than most but they work great. You just have to paint them. You can also get a fork stand for the front if you want to be able to remove your forks.

What is the make and year of your bike? What style did you go with. I think I would like to be able to take my forks off if ever need be. It would make it a lot easier to work in the bike with the stands.

One of the first things I did aftyer I got my 96 was to get a front and rear stand set. In teh 2 weeks I've had her, they've already paid for themselves in time and aggravation saved.

Mine are pretty low end, $100 at Canadian Tire, not that it will help you much if your not up here.

Thisd week i bought a HINDLE rear stand, and it FU*KING SUCKS. its made of thin *** metal, couple of my freidns have PIT BULL stands and those are some strong stands! they are a little over $200 each, but i PROMISE they are worth it. I paid like $150 for mine, and wish i would have spent another $100 on the pit bull.

I love the reline stands very strong and you paint any color you want.

He doesn't make a fork stand and I were ever to buy one I would go to the Pit Bull. More money but I have used it and it works good.

If you order from Ian just tell him your bike model and measure between your spools for the correct width. He made one special for my ZX7 that needed to be 1 1/4 inches wider than the one he normally makes.

Either way get them you need um.

Call who ever is selling them for 280 and ask about volume and then post a group buy. If enough fools sign up you got a savings. Hell I would even be willing to get the fork stand for mine.
