Default Suspension Setup Settings

Hello just bought a new 07 zzr600. First bike and love it. ZZR's are suppose to be the same as 00-02 zx6r. My bikes suspension feels a little soft. I weigh 215lbs and would like to adjust my own suspension. Does anybody know what settings to set the spring preload front and rear. I heard there are some preset measurements to go by for the ride height and thenfrom there i could adjust the damping effects from there. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Try the DIY section or do a search here. There have been many posts about suspension setup. You can also go to www.sportrider.com in the technical articles section. Here's the article:http://www.racetech.com/articles/Sus...AndSprings.htm.

That is what that article is about. One thing to remember that it is "Race" Sag. You may want to loosen the preload a turn or two for the street.

Thanks for the quick response and pointing me in the right direction. These forums are great. I'd be lost without em.

A properly set up bike is so much easier, safer and enjoyable to ride. Plus you can go much faster in the twisties or at the track.
