Default Sprocket Change, dont really like it!

So after months of thinking about doing it, I finally replaced my sprockets. I bought the Vortex Cat 5 rear (+2), and a Vortex front (-1), and a new chain from vortex. I have been riding it for a few days, and I just cant get used to it. The bike does take off alot harder, but it just seems as though it's less powerful overall. I think I am gonna pull them off and go back to stock. i was really suprised at the loss of power above 8k rpms.

Are you sure it's due to the sprockets? You shold have more available power & torque at a lower RPM. Is your air filter clean? Fuel supply problems? What mods do you have?

shouldn't lose any power - but the sensation of acceleration will be different.
i'm personally happy with my 0 front -1 in the rear

Sounds like more of a problem with something else other than the sprocket. I have the -1/+2 and it is hard hitting through the powerband.

hmm, I agree. A sprocket change just alters the powerband to the ground lets say and should only affect your shift points or the lack of or greater than on the top end.
