81, ive pretty much been everywhere in the so cal area. ive really calmed down on my canyon riding and the out right hauling *** dragging knee and sparking rearsets on the streets but ill hit a canyon up anytime, just wont go at it hard, damn kids will do that to you. ive hit the big bear run quite a few times and usually went from bear valley rd to hwy 18 and up the mountain then back down through arrowhead. thats good stuff. once i get my new work schedule im down to hit up a track day at cali speedway. notstocks going on one as well here soon. look in the motorcycle discussion section for the topic.
Cool deal Evil. I'll look into the track event.
I just came back from Chapparell. I was going to buy some leather pants (I lost mine). I spoke with a sales person there. We got to talking about bikes. I told him I went from the honda 929 to the Kawi. This dude couldnt stop laughing! He asked why would I go from a bigger bike to that little thing? It was interesting.
Instead of the pants, I think im going to hold off for some rear sets. I think that would be more beneficial since I find myself with my foot scrapping the ground while having my toes right under the shift lever. I dont know what im doing wrong. I didnt lower the bike. As a matter of fact, I cant even plant my feet flat on the ground. Maybe Im just used to leaning the heavier bike. [&:]

chapperal sales people suck man, i had a friend that worked there and he knew about bikes and he had story after story about that place. try to hit up their parking lot sale, thats when youll get the best deals there. if you go with rearsets, just remember they dont give like the stock pegs do so if you drag them hard enough, youll go down. youll have to use your boot as a lean guide instead of the shift lever
one thing i did notice coming from all different size bikes is the 636 feels light and drops into turns with ease. even my buddy with the r6 said the ninja just felt smoother. add on the light wheels and the bike becomes extreamly flickable without any rider fatigue or feeling like your fighting the bike in to a turn.
next time you go to chapperall, tell the ja thats knocking the 600's to bring his "1100" to the track and see whos faster and 9 out of 10 times thell stfu quickly.
