Size really doesn't matter...
When it comes to tire size everyone's contact patch is approx the size of a man's size 10 shoe under normal riding conditions. As far as "leaning" a bike, It depends on what tire and what manufacturer it's from and size and width of rim. So you could have 3 636's standing next to each other with 3 different tire manufacturers and guaranteed each will have different sidewall configurations. Which will lead to the point where you cannot compare the edge to edge of what is on my zxr250 and a 636 or a gsxr750 or a yzfr6 they will all have the same contact patch at different leaning angles. Even though I'm a chick I know what I am talking about!!! Quick question for anyone out there, in the late 70s early 80s what size tire and manufacturer did King Kenny Roberts have on the rear of his tz750. UM, I bet it wasn't a 180 [

Hey Shon, is this whole thing from the last post, (how low can you go?). You seemed really upset about it. well at least it seemed that way with your last post. hey take a deep breath. it's ok. No one is trying to prove anything here. So relax, smile, and life is all good.
Hey I know you know what your talking about. And for the tire size for King Kenny? Girl, you got. What is it.[sm=itsok.gif]

Hey Shon, I think it is awesome that you are able to ride your bike that way [sm=happy046.gif] (I'm still working on getting to that comfort level). You should be very proud of yourself! [sm=hail.gif]
The way I look at it, tire size, bike size and all that other blah, blah, blah stuff - doesn't really matter. What matters is the simple fact that we are out there riding bikes - cruising along with big perma-grins on our faces [sm=happybounce.gif]
And I have no idea about King Kenny's tire size (I probably couldn't tell you mine either - other than its a 17" rim with stock tires
)

damn.... i didnt mean all that, i have rode my friends 250 and it was just about the same as my old 750 ninja, and it felt like on the smaller tires you couldnt lean nearly as much, and im NOT disagreeing w/ ya but for ex, wouldnt a 180 tire have more contact space than a 150? like comparing a size 3 shoe to a size 10, there is more contact space w/ the shoes..... not starting a argument, so you can chill now on this one.
I was just stating a fact. I just got a lot of flack when I bought my 250 and I guess I get on the defensive when I think someone thinks it's "less than" [&o].Sorry if I took anything out of context
. I do know that compared to a 160 I have about 3/4 of an inch less width, but I just, ya know, want to be a proud girl riding with the "big boys" LOL. As for Kenny, it was a 120
. SORRY, LOVE YOU ALL!!! [sm=grin.gif][sm=hail.gif]
