Default Servo Motor!

Ok I noticed that my friends that have a zx-10 when they install aftermarket exhaust the instructions tells them to un-plug the servo motor and remove it and there check light does not come on!I was wondering if this would work for us?also i have a 06 zx6. thanx

most aftermarket exhausts have a servo fix where you remove the valve and cables along with your original exhaust muffler.In place of the servo there is an adapter plate that gets put in place of the cables.

Some exhaust manufacturer has got to know or figure out how to totally bypass that servo by now. If it can be done with the ZX10, it should be able to do it with the ZX6R's. Can someone tell me if the adapter still rotates when you turn the ignition on or is it locked in place?

Yea it rotates it has a small butterfly shaded peice that goes in place of the pully.

tru tru but that lil space is good for the power commander or other stuff.im going to try to just unplug it like on the zx10 and see what happens. ill keep you updated

It will throw an error code unless it homes and sets correctly.

Dunno- I just copied and threw on a few letters to indicate where the "butterfly" stops . . .

I have a muzzy servo stopper/eliminator - looks completely different.
