Default RPM setting on the 636

Hey everyone just wondering where everyone puts the rpms at on there 636's. I warm mine up at 1500 and idle it down to 1000 for riding. Does any one know if that's cool or am I hurting my bike by riding it with those rpms.

do you mess with the idle adjustment? i don't, it's still at the factory setting. i don't think your hurting anything.. i had an older katana 600 back in 95. when the bike would get real hot the idle would go up. so i would adjust the idle alot to bring it down. on the newer bikes you don't have to do that... well at least i don't....

ok Thanks for the replies guy's. i started her last night and the rpms went to 2000 because she was cold. It's getting colder down here in Flordia but that not going to stop me from riding. Any one know of a good leather jacket to keep me warm on colder days?
