Default Researching for 2007 Ninja 600 Fork rebuild

Hello All-

Just on the boards here to research some info and seek advice from the members here on my current project, rebuilding front forks on a 2007 Model Year ZX-600. Have got the Fork/Dust Seals on order from All ***** Racing, just wondering about the recommended fork oil and level when refilling. I don't have the manual yet-been looking for a Haynes but hard to locate for newer models!

For the members here that have done this before: Is it better to do more than just the Dust & Fork Seals? Do you usually have to do the inner and outer bushings at the same time?? Not doing new springs or cartridges/valving at this time-the suspension set-up has been fine, just have a leaking seal on one of the forks so trying to set-up to do both sides...

Going to try the search function now for info..Any ideas/advice on this project please post it up!! THANX!!

Have you swiped around the seals with a card/tool yet? (motion pro seal mate) as an example. More times than not, some debris gets stuck and will weep oil.

Check in the manuals section in general discussion here in KF for the manual.

A pic of the top left drawer of the suspension tool box showing that wiper tool. I also made something similar in the pic. Keep the burrs off of the plastic to not rip the seals. Keep the suspension setup tools in the same drawer to keep things handy.

"Previous years of the ZX-6R's engines were all built from the same basic design, but the all-new engine for 2007 was redesigned from the crankcase up."

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elko, NV here

zx6r.com has a lot of 6r manuals. Another good forum to read through
