Default Replacing Handle Bar Ends

I know this is probably a really dumb questions but I'm gonna ask it anyway. I want to replace my handle bar ends with some aftermarket ones that I picked up for $10. Mine are all scratched up from someone knocking it over. I took them off using an allen wrench but is there another piece that should come off as well? The new ends will not work for what is left when the ends come off. Maybe its just this particular style of ends. I don't know. I just assumed all ends were the same. Help me out here, thanks.

no just the bar end and the bolt should come off, you prolly got a different style, there are at least 3 different kinds that i have see. the new ones you got can you post a pic, i might be able to let you know how to get them to work

i love the ones i got from shogun...i put those puppies on there and they are longer and feel like a pound lighter on each bar end...u will need to check for the specs of the torque on placing them back on there...if not you could strip it or tighten so tight that you will feel wierd vibrations....

if you don't have service manual what i did with out knowing it i would of just tighten till it is good and snug...

+1 for sup_uni

The best I can do is post a link to the bar ends. I feel like I just got the wrong style of ends.

first off that is a really really long url....

secondly do you want to have colored ones...or do you want like better protection???

because even though the shoguns are made very light though do protect better than those ones....

Ya it was an extrememly long url sorry about that. I do not want colored ends. I have the black ones. I just wanted something to replace the marred ends I have from it getting pushed over. I would have gotten the original ends but I feel like those are gonna be alot of money since its an OE part. I would have no problem switching brands, possibly to the shoguns like you mentioned.
