Recommended Suspension Settings?

Recommended Suspension Settings?
As I was reading my Sport Rider Magazines, I decided to compare the Recommended Suspension Settings for my bike in 2 different issues. Well lo and behold; They're way different! The two Sport Rider magazines had two totally different settings for the same model bike. The same went for the ZX6RR. All I can figure is the different tracks for the settings but it doesn't make that much sense. For example: 05 ZX6R; In one magazine they recommend 2 threads showing and the other 15 mm of threads showing for the shock. Big difference! As said before, the best way is to SET UP SAG First and set your rebound and compression dampenings in the mid point, test ride and adjust from there.
As for the recommended settings; use them as a reference or throw them out the door!

Also, set all your settings when you have new or nearly new tires. Tires are obviously a main part of they way a bike handles, so they need to be in good shape to get proper settings.
