Default problem with arata full system

i recently installed an arata ti full race exhaust and pc3 usb on my 06 636. the install went smoothly and the results are amazing. i have yet to have it dyno tuned but it runs good enough now that im in no rush. my prolem came this evening when i went to give my lady friend a ride and couldnt get my right passenger peg on. the end of the midpipe is too big and is in the way. has anyone had this problem with this or other full exhaust systems and what have you done to remedy it?

Loosen the midpipe clamps and try to install the peg bracket, then re tighten the exhaust clamps. Also looks like your lic plate & turn signals are in the way. The Arata Full system was made for racing so maybe they didn't account for the passenger pegs being used. Should be able to make it work by some re-locating/ adjusting of the mid-pipe.

thanks for the quick replies. i dont think cutting the midpipe would remedy the situation. i could loosen the midpipe and attach the peg but that seems like alot of work for something imjust going to take back off when the ride is over. i was thinking i might be able to have something fabbed up to lower the mounting holes slightly. ill let you know what i figure out.

had kind of a simmalar problem with my leo vince all i had to do what losen the exhaust and twist that pipe upward, then i ran into another problem of the plastic undertail melting from the heat, to remedy that one i just went to napa and got some exhaust wrap tape. but twisting the pipe upard gave me enough clearanc eto put the pegs on.

I have a suggestion[sm=hiya.gif]tell her to get her own motorcycle, it is much more fun, lol. Seriously though my husband has the full ti arata too and he no longer has rear passenger pegs...such is life in the fast lane.

when you twisted the pipe did it effect how the muffler sits under the tail section at all?
