Default powercommander rant

So I installed my PCIII, and now my bike runs like crap. -_- It seems to be sluggish all throughout the rpm range and it also sounds like crap. Kinda felt like I was riding a crusier. heh

So I guess I gotta DL a new map or something. Jamie from fuelmoto programmed it, but I guess he used the wrong map or got it mixed up with someone else's.

I wish i had a laptop to use. -_- I dont really feel like uninstalled in, and then hooking it back up, again.

Yes, check all your connections to make sure you didn't laeve something unplugged. The maps are slightly different in fuel timing & mixture, but should not make your bike run that bad. Double check your connectors. Again. And your harness grounds also.

Aight, i am sure the ground is good, cuz its right on the battery, and not loose. I was sure the connectors were all tight, but maybe I missed one that was alil loose. *shrugs* Yea, I didnt ride it for long till i brought it back home.

EDIT

Ok, so I took my bike apart again, and found a connector that came un-done. I was sure I checked all of them. I started the bike up, and it sounded good/normal. So I took it out for a spin, and it worked great.

Werd.

Good Deal Bra,

I'm glad it's working now. Let us know how much of a difference you feel. Have you done the jumper mod yet?

Billy, Try different maps until you like one that feels good even if it's for a different pipe.

indeed. Now, I just need to get a laptop, or a comp out in the garage. [8D]

I have noticed, that on start-up, when my bike is cold, that it seems to sputter a lil bit at like 1000 rpm or so. But after it gets warmed up, it does not do that anymore. Is this due to the new pipe and PCIII?

Also I have noticed that I have to hold the start button in longer than before I put the PCIII on. Now, I gotta hold it in for like 3-4 seconds or so. Is this also a side affect of the PCIII, or is something wrong?
