Thumbs up Power Commander Questions

I have a 2005 ZX6r 636 and was wondering the benefits of what a power commander would give me on this bike? Is it worth the money? Good for the track and street?

Any information you can give me would be great. Also, where are the best places to buy? Have trouble finding them on the forums, seems like they go so fast!

The power comander is a great tool to modify your bike to make the most use out of your other mods. If you have no other mods you can still see a power gain but its not as important with a stock setup. Let us know what you get and post up some pics brotha!

I found one for a great price online but needs to be mapped and tuned and does not come with the CD. It is going for $100. Sound good?

hmm, not sure. An 05 with an undertail exhaust selling a used dynojet? There is a lot of heat back there so and am abit leary of a bad unit. Just thinking out loud since there has been issues and complaints about the module getting overheated and going bad.

i dont know if i have ever hear dof one over heating. maybe im just out of the loop though.

to me 100 bucks sounds like a steal since you can get the software for free on dynojet website and the tunes are customer made if you do searching im sure youll find a hundred compatable ones that take literally 30 seconds to upload

EDIT: dont mean to question you dragone, just havent heard that or ever seen that and i have been running mine in the enclosed tail for well over 2 1/2 years now

get it. Off the net maps are ok but nothing compared to a custom dyno tuned map from a professional tuner dialing it in to your bike. hell for a hundred bux id buy it. I have heard that the undertail will bake it but Im going on 3 years and still barking

I put a PC3 in DG's 636...no problems with the heat...you can go to Power Commanders website and download a map specific to your setup...
