PCIII USB Install Help
I just need a little advice since I tackled this project being a newbie. I have everything installed for my PCIII but the TPS lead on y '07 6R. And this is because I have 2 problems - 1) removing the air box to get to the TPS (at least what I think is the TPS - right front of TBs, 3 wire black plug), but I can't check since I can't get the airbox to budge, and 2) if that is the TPS, the PCIII lead will be too short. Anyone have any advice for the new guy? Any and all help is appreciated...
All this after I found out I lost the X-Ring for my Two Bros. M5 AFTER everything was torn apart - yeah, not a good day. At least it isn't riding season in ND yet...
Thanks again,
Josh

RE: PCIII USB Install Help
Welcome to the forums. Get someone who knows what they are doing to help you. One of my friends bought an 07 GSXR600 with a blown motor and when we were swapping out the motors, I found out why it blew. The person who installed the PCIII has swapped the primary and secondary injector connectors (they look the same and plug right in) on the #3 cylinder causing it to run lean at WOT which lead to the piston coming apart. Can't stress this enough: Make sure you get the right connectors in their correct plug-in locations!!
You'll need a 3mm allen key to remove the airbox clamps from the throttle bodies. The tank will have to be propped up or removed.

Thanks for that story speed...I checked all the connectors about5 times to make sure everything was right and it is. I use to work on cars and trucks so I learned very early on to double check all my work But it is still a good reminder regardless...

If you worked on cars & trucks then you're mechanically experienced and will be fine especially if you double check your work. Just make sure to follow the PCIII instructions as stated. Good Luck and let us know how it turns out.

No, there aren't any bolt holding the airbox to the TB's on the 636's. Just the 4 band clamps andthe 2 LH & 2 RH sideshave a common clamp screw between the 2 intake boots; 3mmAllenI believe. There is also a bolt in front holding the airbox to the frame. With those loose, it will pop right off.
