Paint
I want to paint my brake handels, the part that mounts to the clip-on. Do you think after a good cleaning with alcohol I can spray them black or do I have to do sand and primer?

RE: Paint
You should try to find "case" paint, or an oxide primer to help adhesion with the aluminum. If you were painting a part that wasn't being handled a lot you wouldn't need to, but brake levers... I would suggest getting them powder coated, or maybe anodized.

RE: Paint
I was thinking a good cleaning and quick shot of black enamel. O-well. Youguys are probably right. If I want it done right, go with the powder coat. I wonder how much that stuff costs?
