Hey guys im totally new to the whole Kawi family so heres a question. I just got my 05 636 and i need to get the oil changed so what type of oil do you guys recomend?? I heard that Royal Purple MAx-Cycle drops the temp. of the bike 20 40 degrees on other forums for all types of bikes have yall heard of this let me know...thanks

 

I like castrol, check out all of the properties of their bike oils at their website. That is a huge claimed temp drop from oil.

you guys like AMSOIL ???? I tried it and I HATED IT !!! MC specific 10w40 with their oil filter and like I said I HATED IT . Not impressed by it in any way at all .

 

so what types do u run??? why did u hate it ??? do yall run synthetic or should i just go with regular?

 

put the oil and filter in and my bike sounded as if it were imploding ........I put Kawasaki petro oil back in it with a Kawi filter .I am not sure the filter needed changing because it only had about 300 miles on the oil change but I changed it any way . Some swear by AMSOIL[:'(] but I'll never use it again .

FYI I run Castrol full syn in my 98 Expedition ( 195,000) and a 03 Nissan Maxima ( 50,000 ).Synthetic is the better route for oil just gotta find what you like .I'm gonna try Mobil 1 next time around ( synthetic )
