Default Oil light help/sprocket change

I just changed my oil and filter I used a Kawasaki filter and mobil 1 10-30 full synthetic and my oil light will not go off now. I primed the new filter and everything and it is full of oil. Is there something I am missing? I have had bikes take a second or two but not this long. Also replaced the plugs and have the fuel tank setting up and I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Default RE: Oil light help

I imagine I need to get some 10-50 but I haven't ever had this happen before on my other bikes. Off to get some different oil I guess. Does anyone know what pressure trips the oil light?

I know it may sound dumb but did you check the site glass to see if it is at the full level?

Yeah it was full I changed the oil to 15-50 but it was still doing it til I hit the throttle a little and then it filled the filter and the light went off.

yeah normally that light only comes on when you have high or low oil pressure, did you check to see if it is overfilled? 4 qts. max?

Its fine now. The light went off after a little blip in the throttle. Now I am doing a sprocket swap and that front sprocket is a real BITCH to get off without an impact.

This thing is all kinds of different now power wise and I couldn't even get the -1 on the front cause the damn nut was so tight. I think I will like it when I am done though, does a lot better out of the hole.

No cotter pin just an awkward angle and red loc-tite which is just plain silly. I dont use the red **** on anything, just blue.
