I have a sad story to tell. It has been raining for 3 weeks or so. I have not rode for a month (not happy). 3 days ago it stopped raining and got sunny (sweet). I came home from work for lunch on Tuesday and decided to ride the bike back to work (3 miles). I was less than a 1/2 mile from home on my way to work when it happened. CRASH...Well heres what happened, I was riding between 35-40 mph down the road with a clear view of the road in front of me.I saw acar slowing down to make a left hand turn in front of me. As I got closer (about 40' from the car) they started to turn, right in front of me. I hit the brakes and went for the right side of the road hoping that they would see me and stop. Wishful thinking on my part (they didn't stop). I hit the car in the passenger door and the bikeslid down the door, Ihit the upper part of the door and window, with my helmet(my visor still has glass stuck in it) and then my chest. The next thing I know this guy was helping me pull the bike ( if you can call it a bike any more) off the road. Then the cops showed up and fire trucks. I had so much adrenaline that i didn't feel bad at all, so i refused medical. I called my wife to come and pick me up (she was not happy). I went home and got my truck, and my neighbor to help load the bike. About an hour later I could feel some pain in my ribs and neck, so off to the Doctor I went. No broken ribs, no broken neck just bruised andREALLY REALLYsore. So other then the bike being totaled I am just fine (wife is happy). So here aresome pics.

I just hope that her insurance pays for the bike. Hope I can get a new bike by spring.

 

glad you are ok bro - don't let their insurance try to rip you off - demand a new bike or a bike exaclty like the one you had before the wreck and nothing less.

 

That sucks that the bike is totaled. But it's good to hear you didn't get hurt to bad in the wreck. And you'll be up and riding here soon. Keep us informed if you get a new bike or if the insurance company helped you out.
