I have Race Cams, Race ECU, PCIII and mine pulls strong from around 6K.
Why would you piggy back the race ecu? Lack of tuners?

With the Race ECU I can adjust the ignition timing but to find someone who knows how to is rare. Justthe interface harness to reprogram the ECUis over $300. I guess if I buy it and learn to program it, might be worthwhile. Maybe I will sell the PCIII then. Right now the PCIII is easier to play with. I can load any map and try it out. Plus I'm not done modifying the bike and will get a custom tune/ Map when I'm done. The Dynojet ignition module is over $300 also plus I got a great deal on this ECU and I can still try the different PCIII Maps.

I understand that one. I have the ecu, interface adaptor and the stock wiring harness adaptor for my ride. No one in this area has ever tuned the ecu before! Not that I know how to do it yet either, but will be sitting in on the progress to gain some more incite.

edit: and expenses

What is the part number of your programming harness? Might be the same for my bike. Man I sure want to know what is inside that little black interface unit that it cost more than the ECU! I think actual retail is $500+ just for the harness. That's insane!

Actually the adaptor harness was like $40 or $42, think that the interface adaptor was $450. I tried hurrying through reciepts, found beet nassert, attack, and all of my gardening stuff. I will have to find it for ya.
