ok i have a problem, i really want to get a zx6r but i dont know whether to get a brand new year or used model?

 

Kinda depends on what you want the 6 for. Already modded and taken care of for less money?Does that stylemeet your expectations? A lot of people prefer only new. There are a lot of different views on buying used or new. I would buy used if it met my expectations. Although all 3 of my ninjas have been new so back to basics. (see first sentence)

heck, snag a 636 that is in good condition.

 

cant go wrong with either, if you can get the right price, check insurance too.

The newer bikes have some great features but they are all insanely fast so it all comes down to price.

 

only option for me was used due to budget restrictions.

got my 95zx6r for 2K - but I have had to put time into a few repairs to bring it back up to snuff.

i have a hard time justifying the expense of a brand new bike when i can get a used one thats a year old for a lot less.

 

Abuse,

I want to be the only one abusing the bike, some people do crazy stuff and that all lead to problems even a cracked block. on that note i did buy my bike used but i got it from a lady that found out she was pregnant and only put 140 miles on a new bike then it just sat in her place for a year.

 

yeah, having a mechanic background i am usually pretty good at spotting vehicles to avoid.

the bike i got was mechanicly solid, it just needed some new fairings and a gas tank (old on had rust inside)

now its my baby that hides in the garage when i'm not riding it.

03-07 zx6r's are fuel injected, and they made the 636 in 03-06
