Default New 06 ZX6r Owner

Well after thinking of getting a bike for some time i finally took the leap. My G/F and I are getting new bikes, she is getting a 07 250r and I am getting a 06 ZX6r, got it for a pretty good price, 8100 OTD, also putting on it a two bros exhaust sliders flush mount turn sinals and ordering a dark smoke puig screen. I have been reading the forums for a couple weeks and am offically putting my first post out there.
Is there anything i should know about my new bike such as quirks or little things that might worry my that are really no big thing. Look forward to seeing the rest of you on here.

Um... the seat/tank really ride on the "boys"[:@] if you know what I mean... some people experience it... some don't

I might have to shave it... (the seat )and see if that helps.

Congrats on the recent purchase. And smart choice going with the 06 ZX6R, you won't regret it. Post pics you got'm.
As a heads up most Kawi bikes you will notice a little knocking or ticking sound, especially on a new one. This nosie is normal and will quite down after a you put about 400-500 miles on it.

i was going to mention the tickin' dont worry about that at all normal kawi thing also the kawis have a thing about "klunking" into first gear from neutral that is also nothing to worry about. all in all the 06 636 is bar none the best bike i have ever owned. have fun out there and keep the rubber side down.

Once you start going into the "super fun zone" (>9,000RPM) you may notice what sounds like an electric shortage between 9,500 and 10,500.

For whatever reason the clutch lever vibrates. Some people have fixed it by changing the lever or using home remedies. I actually like it ... it is my "alert signal" shouting "SUPER SPEED"!!!

Thanks for all the advice guys. If all goes well tomarrow i can bring them home, although we have had two 60+ degree days in wisconsin and go figure tomarrow is suppose to be mid 30's with a wintry mix. I will post pics as soon as the beauty is home in my garage. I was also thinking about getting rear spools for a stand, do those just bolt right onto the swingarm, AKA can install myself? Thanks again guys,

yep, straight bolt on, see the bung on the swing arm ? spools come with the bolt, you provide the allen wrench. make sure you order kawasaki specific spools and not just any ones being the kawis use a bigger bolt.

I almost bought a "L.E." tit/red switched to the flat blue after many sleepless nights, I just like blue. Is it horrible that I have yet to pick my bike up from the dealer, and already have a long list of mods I want to do[].
