New 06 zx636 break in
Quick question, i read the book on the break in and all of the other things on this site that people have to say about breaking in, but i now have 80 miles on the bike....my worry is that, if ive kept the throttle at 4k rpms a lot, or nearly constantly, for these 80 miles with the every so often cracking it open, have i already ruined the break in, because i havent been varying the throttle as much as i should be. Im an 18 year old kid and i ride bikes like i stole them, and every once in a while i get the urge to crack her open. All my miles are in town las vegas driving, the temp on the bikes probabyl from 200-225 the entire time so far, and its las vegas traffic haha, so i guess what im wondering is if anyone will get back to me about if my bikes already ****ed or what...thanks, this forum has been lots of help.
thanks, so today i started to vary the rpms a little, probably took it up to 9k rpms a few times, and rode it a little harder off the line and such, i dont think im going to redline it until 1000 miles, but im up to 120 miles now, 40 miles of the harder riding, hopefully it pays off...if it doesnt ill just tell them fix it, i got a hell of a deal on the extended 2 year full warranty with the bike, 8899 out the door with the 2 year extended, they pay for all of my problems. thanks for all the help.
haha thanks for the info, im new to vegas i dont even know where the hell baker is, all i know is that ive been reading way to much s hit about breaking in my new toy, and i dont know whats right and wrong, i mean, how can you have such a fast maching and not go over 4k rpms, frickin impossible...!

I highly doubt you have done any damage, but varying rpms is a large factor in breaking in a new motor. I would start doing it from now on and not worry about it.
