Need help with compatible engines ZX6R

I have a 1995 ZX6R and need a new engine. What years will fit? I was told that 95-02 ZX6R engines would work. How about ZZR600? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Yes, the ZZR600 engine is the same as the 02 ZX6R. You may even be able to get a 03-04 636 engine to fit but may need all the electrics too. They had the 636 engine in the 02 ZX6R's in Europe first.
