used to rollerblade with a chick in college. one day she landed chest first on a handrail. yes squishing the boobage. she could barely talk or stand. i'd say it probably felt similar to getting kicked in the nuts based on her reaction.

Just shaved the sead on my '03, and it was VERY easy, came out very smooth, and a lot more comfortable! Did it really quick before a 3.5 hour ride to my college and didn't get any "ouch" moments...

Tips though: make sure you use a power staple gun instead of a manuel one. A hand powered one probably won't have enough punch to get the staple all the way through the thick (nylon I think it is?) base. With the clearances a hand-held one will still get the job done, you'll just have ugly staples visible from the back and sides...

i shaved mine just slightly but use a different seat cover will make them a bunch more comfortable also, i didn't do it cuz i had a problem with comfort i did it for a grippier seat which turned out to be way better anyhow for comfort. i flipped my handlebars so i dont lean down as far, the bars bein just a tad higher makes a world of difference, i dont even like riding normal stock bikes anymore the bars are horrible for comfort and control, but i'm a stunter, tho i still scrap knees in the twisties now and then also.
