Default My new race bike update 2/7/2008

Hey guys this is kind of an update to my last post. I have finished the paint on my zx6r race bike. After looking around at different paints I figured i would try the Dupli Color paint shop line. I have read a lot of different things about this and wanted to see for my self if it was crap or not. Well to tell you the truth it is not bad for the cost. I am not saying it is better than other paint, but for my need it is great. Also it is very easy, there is no mixing, reducing, hardening. Nothing. Just pour and spray. Also i made a paint booth again. This time a little bit bigger and it is great, easy to set up and easy to clean up. It only cost about $15 for the plastic and $2 for a roll of masking tape. Also the paint cost about $60 for 1 black, 1 red, and 1 can of clear. The total process took about 2 days form star to finish. Here is how it went.

Here is the supplies:

LOL i know it is wierd. I live in a townhome so there is no side of the house. And that is where all of them are in the neiborhood. It helps with the weather keeping off of it and there are vents in the garage to help with cooling it.

I put 5 layers of clear on it!!!!!!!! It is the paint it is cheap and it is only a track bike so i don't want it to look to good. LOL, so if i lay it down i will not cry to bad. LOL But it came out nice for under 50 bucks and a few hours of work. I ordered real number plates. i don't like how the numbers came out so they should be in monday or tuesday.

really? I thought the numbers came out awesome. I like how you taped up the bottom of the tail to "fade" the bottom half. nice job. The paint does look good, though its just not AS shiny as the factory paint next to it. I give you props. What manufacturer are the fairings from?
