word of advice bro. if your looking for a room or small place to rent. try looking in the east bay it's cheaper. by east bay i mean hayward, sanleandro, fremont. just stay out of oakland. unless you like a little danger in your life[sm=violent053.gif]

What hoedogg said. If you don't mind a drive you can go way east bay to concord walnut creek area to find a place.

Stay out of Oakland? What!? I grew up there from 78 to 93. Oakland has a bad rep but It's not as bad as people make it out to be. It has changed a lot.Certain areas are bad/ were bad but it's improved. Been down aroundE14th street & 98th Avelately? It's been redone with nice condo's and apartments and expensive too. The city is getting all the rifraf out. Around Lake Merrit is nice. I think that Oakland has the best weather in all of the Bay Area. Some kickass roads: Skyline Blvd, Redwood Road, Centennial, Gizzly Peak, Tilden Park Rd and a bunch more. You will enjoy it out there. Man I miss the Bay Area! Oneday I'm moving back! Don't miss the traffic and commuting in it though.

Hell, there's Los Banos if you want cheap & a commute! I like the Sunnyvale area & I'm on the east side of SJ by Milpitas, it's a cheaper area but still absurd.

Thanks Az, won't be up there til the 17th though. Yeah, I'll actually be working in Sunnyvale. From my quick look, looks like rent is 'bout the same - maybe slightly higher, but houses are definitely higher (and they're high down here!). Oh well, spend some time saving I guess. I'll hit you guys up when the bike is moved up there - somebody's gotta show me where the twisties are.
