I have a 98 ZX6 motor that I am fixing to rebuild. The bottom end of the motor needs to be completely rebuilt. Are there any other years or sizes of motors compatible with this one. The motor is not going in a bike so compatibility with the bike isn't an issue just the motor.

 

I hav read that the ZX6, ZX6R & 636 motor's up to 2006 are based on the 97 ZX6R. There were changes on the 2003, 2004, 05-06 motors top end. As far as parts interchangeability, I can't be sure?
