Default Looking for a steering stabilizer

Which type are the best, rotary, or the kind with the shock? What brands are dependable? What other questions should I be asking?

I cannot say if one is better than the other. My first thoughts on a damper is of crash damage resistance and how/where the damper is located. I have yet not proven to myself why I even have a damper.

Ever notice how light and squirley your front end can become when you are hard on it off a corner, tank slapper. Those are 2 reasons to have a steering damper.

The only slapper that I have been involved with was at over 145mph and not exiting a turn. The ride dancing under you on an exit to me is either the rider or the setup or both. Like I mentioned, I have yet to realize the potential of a damper. In fact, I will remove my stock damper on the 10r because most people think that the stock damper is useless. I will run the ride without and with just to test.

sorry for the hyjack of the thread.

Just another reason for a damper.

I am happy with my HyperPro. A couple of guys had problems with them but I think it was resolved?

I am leaning twoards the GPR rotary style one. I chose this over the scotts because of the pinless mount. I am not too comfortable drilling and tapping holes in my frame. Can anyone give me a reason not to get this one?
