I had progressive and was paying $65/month for my 06 636. I switched to State Farm and pay $500/year. You have to have your car with state farm or they won't insure your bike. BTW I'm 24/F in Florida

I live in New Mexico, and for liability with double the coverage, and un insured motorist, is $138 / year. I'm 29 and male, with good driving record... Old bike tho' But I did move my home owners insurance over and that saved me a lot.. Local office. Bobby Moody insurance.

I live in so cal, 40 yrs old with terrible driving record. Just liability is 530.00 a year. WTF 3 or 4 speeding tickets and 2 accidents in 2 years.

Good driving record and a 700+ credit score is a must. Least I have good credit.

i went through progressive ride insurance. im around 30 ish, known to speed and pay 114.00 a year just to ride legal on the streets of cali. keep in mind this does not cover theft, it is the bare minimum to keep it legal. i pay an aditional 300.00 a year through mercury, to cover theft, throttle abuse and just about every nut and bolt on my bike. to get my policy togather like i have it now it was going to cost me about 2800.00 a year for the full coverage and liability and crap. i also have 5 of my vehicles covered through mercury so that gave me a little bit of a discount. i think if you have it down that the bike is for pleasure, its cheaper then having it as a daily driver.
