Default Im new, so ill post this here

I have a question about a 05' 636 Kawasaki and bikes in general for that sake. It is perfectly normal for the steering wheel to touch/rub when it is turned to its max towards the left (the locking position) right? Can someone help me out? Thank you very much.

hi and welcome to the site you will love it here

to answer the question, no it is not normal to rub anywhere on the bike. prolly someone just re-angled the clipons or something to try to get it more comfortable.

think about it, why would a bike manufacture be that clumsy in design, especialy kawi, if the handlebars rub that means that they would pinch as-well and cause the rider to instictivly let go of the steering. now that my friends is a lawsuit so big your grandchilderens grandchild wouldent have to worry about money

Sometimes if the bike has been in a crash, the lower triple clamp stops get bent and cause the bars and/ or switches to touch the frame. Or like sup-uni said, they were re angled/ rotated. You can take a look to see if the stops are bent where they hit the frame at the lower triple clamp. If that's straight, the is an allen bolt that positions the bars under the top triple clamp to prevent rotation of the bars. In a crash, the triple clamp hole threads sometimes break off and the bolt won't go in/ tighten but you can loosen the bar clamp and rotate the bar for clearance.
