Default Idiot Strapped rectifier to the IC coil!!!

Not sure if this is my issue or not but I just realized that my rectifier (which tested good) was zip tied to the IC ignition pack... The bottom of the pack was a little distorted and now I am thinking that the heat from the rectifier may have toasted the IC pack. It's odd that the Strator is putting 13v on the battery when it's running then the battery goes down to like 12v or 11v after the bike stalls... After the bike cools down it will start back up (if the battery has a charge). I put the coil and rec, back where they are supposed to be.. I wonder if this is what is making the bike stall...

Bike runs great untill I put it under load for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes of regular driving the bike stalls out and cannot be restarted for about 20-30 minutes (like its flooded). The carbs were rebuilt professionally and the bike runs great righ tup untill the stall..

Any thoughts on my new thoery?

I am just thinking that the bike might have run good until the coil absorbed the heat from the rectifier.. I don't know.. I really want to figure it out before I go throwing parts at it..

Has new

New ignition coils
Starter rebuilt
New plugs ( ngk )
Carbs completely broke down and cleaned ( Bush Motorsports )completed March 06

The strator charges the battery at about 13v while running
The Rec. tested good via the manual.. (ohms method)

There isn't a whole lot more to the system then that....

I am wondering if the coil needs replacement now that it has been baked?

run it aroudn the block for about 20 or so min see if it stalls out. If it does at worst you push the bike a block back home.

It sounds as if the coil is breaking down under heat .....but .....I could be wrong

Could be the IC. Gets hot & quits working. If it was the coil, the bike would run on 2 cylinders atleast.
