Sounds like it's time for a new clutch. How many miles on the bike, stock clutch I presume...

Next time you do an oil change, go with a heavy weight oil like 20W40 or 20W50. It won't harm anything by using this heavier oil but you will notice it takes a little longer to get up to full operating temp and you may lose 1/4 hp or so.

Also don't ride too much in temps below 32 degrees Farenheit with the heavier oil, but that shouldn't be a problem now should it.

 

i had the second gear at around 10k rpm and it pops out to neutral - anyone thoughts?

 

Go to factorypro.com and see if they have a shifting star for your bike. Sound like you need to replace a couple of gears though.

 

I drained the motor oil - looks good and no metals - The only time the grinding happens is when from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd - so would this eliminate the shift fork from having problmes because it only happens on 2nd gear so bascially the i need a new 2nd gear?
