Gonna Change the sprockets
Hey guys, after hearing about how much nicer the bike feels with the -1 in the front and +2 in the rear, I want to go ahead and do it. I ride mostly canyons so the top speed isnt too important for me. (Besides, I still have a liter bike for that )
Is the factory chain a 520 or a 525. I just want to confirm with you bike gurus. I have an 06 636. Thanks for reading.
As far as brand goes, I would like afam sprokets but the place here just sells sproket specialties. Any opinions?

RE: Gonna Change the sprockets
I don't know about the 06 but if you go up one and down two I think you would need to get a new chain. So if you getting new sprockets and chains you can pick which ever you want 520 or 525. 520 is lighter but wont last as long. 525 is a touch heavyier but will last longer. I went with 525 because it will last longer.

RE: Gonna Change the sprockets
u should be able to run the -1 +2 mod on your stock chain, i have the -1 +2 mod with my stock chain, and it's a 108 link chain, and the 05-06 had 110 links, and both came stock with 520 chains

RE: Gonna Change the sprockets
I just bought the -1/+2 sprocket set (from THRUST) for my 95' ZX-6R. I started installing them today.. Unfortunately my New chain is endless so I have to tear the whole rear end down to install the chain...
