Flushing Coolant on a 06 636

Default Flushing Coolant on a 06 636

How do you flush the coolant on an 06 636? And befor you ask YES, I did a search, the only thing I could find was for a EX500. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_169008/tm.htm

Most likely a couple of you have done this, do to the fact you have to replace the coolant for the race track, so any info wuold be appreciated.

What I do is pull a hose new the water pump and attach a hose. I flush the entire system after draining as much as I can and also let the bike warm up and flush a couple more times. After that it's time for the Water Wetter for the track!

What do you mean by pull a hose and attach a hose? Which hose do you pull?

I usually pull of a coolant hose from the water pump and then use a garden hose and attach it to the coolant hose with a clamp.

Cool,I get it. Usethe garden hose so it doesn't run all overthe place. So about how many flushesdoes it take to clear out the coolant?

Umm... pull hoses?

All you have to do is remove 2 10mm bolts from the water pump and number 1 cylinder. Open the radiator cap, run a hose through there to flush all the remaining coolant. Lean the bike side-to-side to remove any remaining water. Refill, top off expansion tank.

Hmmmm. I was not aware that they had the drain bolts! Just as easy to pull one hose clamp though........

So with removing the 2 - 10 mm bolts, the coolant will drain from the water pump? And whats the process of getting out the air bubbles?
