RE: First Bike!! HELP Save my LIFE!!!
I think you're going about it the right way by starting on smaller bike and getting experience first. You really don't need a speed limiter; your wrist is made for that. Just be disciplined to the max speed you'd like to go and shut-off the throttle when you reach that speed orcomfort level. I also recommend a basic motorcycle course first, followed by a trackday schoolor a professional high performance riding school like the California Superbike, Freddie Spencers, Kevin Schwantz, or numerous others to prepare yourself for racing. The techniques you will learn arevery valuable and will make you a better, fasterrider/ racer. The new Ninja 250 is an awesome bike to get & keep!

personally i think you are going way overboard, yeah if you want to start off small then start off small, that is what i did, wish i wouldent have because now i have a kawi 500ltd aswell as my 636 but i think it was still ok.
aslo there is no way i would have taken the 500 LTD on the highway (too small and not enough power) but i take the 636 on there more often then not.
i lasted all of 3-4 months before i was done with the small cc and kicked it up to a 636 i dont know how you are going to feel but having the 636 has been THE MOST NATUARL THING SINCE GIRLS!! i got on the bike and i knew she was going to be mine, i was in the mountains the very next day learning to carve. i took it slow for about the first week so i learned the roads and what to watch out for but then it just fealt so right to be down at that angle.
i really dont think that you are going to stay on the small cc for very long at all and as for controling the 6r just dont pop the clutch or slam on the front breaks and you will be golden, the 6r really doesnt have enough power to wheelie without the clutch so really dont worry about that (unless you downshift like2-3 gears and hammer the gas)
have fun but DONT HOLD YOURSELF BACK IN THE PROCESS you and only you will know what is right and wrong

RE: First Bike!! HELP Save my LIFE!!!
my bike has a speed limiter from the factory, its called the red line !!!!ahhaha j/k my advice would be to get some biker friends and drive with them thats how i learned, its nice have years of experience around you helping you. go to the bike nights if yall have any. also the msf course seems to be the most important thing to do in the beginning stages as well as for advanced riders, ill be hopefully taking a msf course this summer. ride safe

it might **** you off that you can turn a faster lap time on a 250 then on a 600 get some reading materials for the off season before hitting the track. my suggestion is a twist of the wrist by keith code
