extending swing arm
ok ok, i know a lot of you guys are against extending the swingarm, BUT i ran at the track yesterday for the secong time w my -1 front sprocket, and its not just off the starting line, its the WHOLE WAY DOWN THE 1/8 mile track that its standing up. SO, i have to extend it 3'-4'. Anyone recommend certain blocks????? certain types better than others? i know nothing about them. i know buying another swingarm would be the RIGHT way, but im not spending $400-500 on a swingarm when im only extending it so little. ANY help would be appreciated!

RE: extending swing arm
I am not much help to you. I asked a friend of mine, he runs at the track here, and he had his made at this place

The price is up there, tho' That $450 range. He said that was the way to go though. He had his chrome plated too. It's not a Kawi, but they custom machine whatever you want. I'll ask a couple more people around here, and If I find something out, I'll sure let you know...

Sorry, I've never done that. I extended the front forks on my bike when I was a kid by cutting off the forks of another bike and had my dad weld them on. I wanted a chopper. It had a banana seat too. Geez, I'm really showing my age...........[8D]

try calling muzzy, not cheap but the best looking work ive seen on a extention. also look up gadson racing, muzzy might do all of ricky gadsons swing arm work though. muzzy list for a zx10 but remember they sponcered the 600cc drag bikes (sportsman class i think)
