Exhaust Buterfly Valve Actuator noise
I have anew 2006 Ninja 636 with only 2,190 miles and when I put the ignition in on, the valve actuatormakingnoises... something lile ,,clack, clack, clack and then again 3 more times... after that everything is fine, the motorcycle run ok , have a lot of power
acording with the old owner , that bike had an aftermarked slip-on and beforehe sold it to me he removed. He told me that he drove the bike like that for monthswith no problems
a mechanic in Burchams motorcycle told me that the valve actuator need to be readjusted because that is what control the butterfly in the stockmuffler, to avoid back fire
Help ,,, somebody know how to fix this... without going broke
Thanks

if the stock pipe is on it, you need to reset the servo and put the little hex gear on it and hook up the cables that actuate the valve.
if its an aftermarket exhaust, you need a servo stop, muzzy has them two bros etc. reset the servo, put the stop on and youll be fine.
is anything hooked up now ? what did the guy use before when he had the aftermarket pipe on there ? seems if nothing it would have thrown a fi light on.
the buzz buzz clack clack clack is normal on our bikes, stock or otherwise.
