Default ebc HH installed finally

yesterday i installed some ebc HH on the front and back and some goodridge ss brake lines. btw it took forever to bleed. i havent drove it yet but i did drive it up and down my driveway which i can go about 20mph and stop, but the brakes didnt stop to well. is this b.c there new or cold or what. when it stops raining ill take it out and brake them in. this is my 1st brake install on a bike. also i used kawasaki brake fluid that says dot3 & 4 bikes on the front. which is what the kawi guy told me to use.

yeah i guess they just need to be broke in. the brake handle is pretty stiff. it says take it easy for 50 miles on the brakes so ill do that. also i was wondering 2 things. i didnt notice before but when i put my rear caliper back on it moves alittle , is it supposed to do that, its bolted down tightly, i think its supposed to but didnt really know. otherwise what do i use to lube my chain, WAX, or the spray kind. thanks

you have to remember the brake rotors do float a little so i'm sure that you back brake is ok. I'm sure some one here will back me up on this.

yes blueblast is right, they do need to "float" the caliper is secure by the bracket with the axle. you have no worries about it comming of.

as for as the chain i just use some silicone chain spray and it works awsome, specifically says motorcycle chains on it. it is white so it is a little messy just spray it on before a night and let it soak and then ride away the next day. oh by the way this process is 10000000 times easier if you have a rear stand. prop her up and just spin the back tire to move the chain forward

Bedding in the pads is only a heat cycle or two. As in a few corners, scuff them in kind of deal. I think you have not bled the front brakes and the new lines all the way just yet. The HH pads according to some people will put you on your nose after break in. Good luck.

finally quit raining and i got to drive it about 30 minutes. wasnt to hard on it but it does seem to stop pretty good. although i was wondering when you stop you can hear the brakes. like if you have your bike on the stand and you rotate your wheels and you can hear the pads touching the rotors, that sound. is that normal while driving when you hit the brakes.

i put a set of them on my '98 a few years ago. i found that after break-in they stopped REALLY well. but i did notice a noise from them. i was super paranoid at the sound, so i replaced my wheel bearings....for no reason lol. they are noisy, you get used to it.
