Default Does a 2002 zx6r engine have more power than a 1998 engine?

I just put a 2002 kawasaki zx6r engine in my 1998 frame. I rode it and it seems like its faster. If anyone wants info on how I did it let me know. Its not hard but theres wiring involved.

Was the swap hard to do?
What about swapping from a zzr600 06 to a 2000 zx6r

The 1998 ZX-6R had 92 bhp - Link with Dyno chart

The 2002 ZX-6R had 96.2 bhp - Link with Dyno chart

It doesn't seem like much but the 02 has a much broader torque curve and the power comes on much sooner with the newly designed ram-air.

Congrats on the swap !

I gaurantee that they are taking about hp at the crank and not at the rear tire. Motorcycles do not lose much hp through the transmission. No one has a engine dyno, so they are probrably just qouting the manufacturer. I would trust the dyno's, but as a reference between the two bikes and not a base number hp.

I'm sure you are correct. I wasn't trying to contradict, just putting my 2 cents in.
