Not really. A bolt on will replace a bolt on oem muffler. example: I would need a bolt on to replace my 10r mufflers if I used the stock mid pipe. A slip on for the 10r is normally after the butterfly valve and comes with the correct pipe so that it will slip onto it. Does that make any sense?
