Custom Modded 07 ZX6 stock muffler
So I bought a stock muffler of off ebay for a buck plus 20 for shipping.. yup 21 dollars for a stock muffler... flapper and wires included.. My plan was to cut this open and try to re direct the air flow without losing any power. I finally got around to it and hacked into it yesterday with a buddy of mine. All in all it took about 2 hours start to finish.. End result is that it sounds just about the same at idle and has a meaner growl when on the throttle. I feel more power around 7K than before and don't feel any difference from the low end. I think things went pretty well. I'll try to post up some pics.. sound clips tonight.. might need some help posting sound/vid clips...
Aiight guys finally got around to it.. I posted it on my local forum so heres the link..

So how did you route the exhaust outlet inside the muffler? If the flow isn't smooth, you may lose power. You should get some perforated tubing or a sheet, roll it up into a tube then pack around it with fiberglass or ceramic wool. Just an Idea.
