I've just recently bought a Techmount, "Stem Mount" for my zx-6r and I wanna buy a radar detector that would be effective and affordable, that would of course be mounted on the stem mount. Any suggestions on a good radar detector? I usually dont speed but sometimes on an open highway it just makes sense to go a little over the speed limit...

Its $490. Comes with an AWESOME radar detector, the direct wire cord to go directly to your battery, and the HARD system, which is a wireless LED indicator that goes in your helmet and blinks when your radar detector is going off. I have it and it works awesome!!

If it saves you from one ticket, it almost pays for itself in the cost of the ticket, time lost to deal with the ticket, and subsequent insurance increases.

I bought a Beltronics RX65 and a direct wire kit. Hooked it all up and works like a charm. Install was fairly easy. It sits on my Techmount. Also, I managed to find the one with Blue LED's to match my bike color AND got it new for $150 less than retail ($380).... got lucky on this one.

 

Heck, I just bought a cheap Cobra for $60 and it works great for what I need it to do. Just an advanced warning system
