Sorry guys. I have been remis in visiting the site for a while, but I do pop in here and there to take a look. Still healing from my knee surgery and still have some difficulty bending the leg enough to ride efficiently, but I am getting better slowly. I am feeling good enough that I just mailed in registration for a track day April 7 at Roebling Road, so I will finally be able to see what the ZX-6 will do! Roebling Road is predominantly a right hand track, and I can hang off the right side just fine. The left is what I have problems with still, so this should be a decent track to get back on.Poor bike has been sitting in the corner of the garage all lonely for a while now. I have been slowly working on her when I feel like it and about the only thing left is to get the case guards, which I am ordering this week.

Other than that, I bought a SuzukiDR 650 to play an and have done a couple trips to the coast on the Aprilia. I also sold my CBR 600RR this past weekend, but am getting ready to pick up this gem I found:



It's an 86 GSXR 750 that I am picking up from the original owner and he has every single stock item for it as well! The lower is off because he had not yet pulled it out of storage, but the bike is damn near mint!

I also took a trip to California for a week and borrowed a DRZ 400SM and did some riding in the mountians........



Things are looking up, but I still have along way to go to heal from the accident and surgery. The Doc tells me that I am one of those miracle cases though and seems pretty impressed that I can ride at all! All he asked is that I don't wreck at the next track day!

wow meanstrk glad to see ya back! that gsxr is sweet. how much are you picking that up for if you don't mind me asking???

 

Picking it up for $3300 including all the original parts. This one is going to be a bike night conversation piece and collection bike. Not planning on flogging it!

I made out pretty well selling my CBR, even though I did not really want to sell it. I just could not justify keeping it around and not being able to ride it AND picking this 86 bike up. I am also planning on getting an Aprilia Tuono or KTM Super Duke this summer if I can get creative enough with the finances!

You know it! I will have on board video going as well! Planning on just riding in the Intermediate group instead of advanced and just having fun rather than pushing 100%. I think I'll play tag with some friends and just shoot video.
