Default Back to stock??

I have an 06 636 and noticed that it has a 190/50 rear tire, and I was reading through the owners manual and noticed that the stock rear is a 180/55. Since I need new tires already, should I got back to the stock 180 rear or stay with the 190??

do you like the way the 190 feels as far as turns ? of course a 180 will turn in quicker even tho its only a 10mm difference but it does change things up a bit.

From the short distance I have ridden the bike it feels good to me. But I haven't had it into many corners yet because I want new tires to be more confident.

It's a double edged sword. The 190's will probably ride more comfortably but like EVIL said you will sacrifice turn in speed. But if they're comfortable to you and you've gotten used to them and the handling maybe you should stay with them. Personnaly, I go with what owners manual says as far as size goes.

Go with the 180. 190 is too much and slows down the handling. Plus it wasn't made to go on a 5.5" wheel. The profile of the tire o hooked in on the sides and really not useable. It just adds extra weight and cost more. Unless you just want it for that FAT look. The 190 is made for a 6" wide wheel.

As far as fat-look goes I think they both look fat. I'd definitely go back to a 180-55. I have 180-55 pilot powers (120 up front obviously) and they are very nice and warm up quickly , i think you'll like them.

yup, pay attn to the wheel, tire choices available and how you as the rider will use that combo in relation to your suspension. Are you comfy? Keep comfy in mind

Go with the 180's. You will thank yourself for it later.

alright I ordered my tires today, got dunlop qualifiers and went with the 180/55/r17 rear and a 120/70/r17 front
