Anyone get their stock wheels anodized?
Have anyone anodized your stock wheels? If so, how did it come out. I went to get mine done today and the anodizer told me that I had to strip all the paint off andthat the rough casting areas won't come out good. I can also get them powder-coated but was looking forward to the anodizing instead. I was also told that anodizing fades with the sunlight UV rays. If I find the right Color Gold,I may powder-coat them.
No, not yet but I have a set of wheels that I will stripto get them anodizedand see how they turn out. Probanly be a few weeks or months. I have a $#!+load of catching up to when I get back to my routine. Plus I have another 05-06 bike to assemble now.
yeah I read in one of the post you had gotten 05-06............ let me know how things go ? I thought of doingmy wheels but haven't really investigated it much .I was thinkin maybe gold .It should look pretty tight with the Titanium paint and the gold that is already on the bike .I ordered some Keiti Gold windscreen screws and they matched perfect with the other gold pieces on the bike ( at least I think so )
Just thinkin 'bout doin the wheels at some point in the future but not sure just yet . Tryin to collect a little info so I can decide to do it or not .

never done it to wheels - but the dyes used are UV sensative. some worse than others. They do make UV blockers to use with them and to put in clearcoats to go over them.
