tests have shown amsoil is among the best available - however you have to buy it from a reseller not the local store so the price is as muhc or little as they want to charge you.

Yea I'm running Amsoil full synthetic, and if I remember it was about $10.00 a quart. Yikes!! But really if you think about it, that's not really that much for piece of mind.

Motul 300V! Ofcourse I'm biased because it's great oil and we are sponsored by them now too! I run it in my bike and the endurance race bikes. Don't want any engine failures!

HUH? How much oil does your bike hold? That's 1 more quart than my Toyota Camry holds.[8D] Now if we are talking about the Dodge Ram, then I think its somewhere in the 11-12 quart range. Now that can get expensive real quick, especially since I'm running the 10,000 mile oil in it.

it should say on the side by your oil sight glass - 4 quarts should be enough including a filter change.

I've seen some pricing on AMSOIL and Rotella but there really is no comparison as Rotella is a Petroleum oil.

I can ride a year on AMSOIL for under $48.00 (4 qts)including the AMSOIL filter... So by the time you pay 17 for the oil and another 8 for a decent filter, you have $25.00 per change (6 months/3000 miles) or $50.00 per year to do what I can for approximately the same cost, not have to drive to pick it up, walk 3 miles from the back 40 parking lot, fight the lines, worry if they have it in stock, drive back home (gas at over $3.00) and lay underneath the bike twice instead of once.... Yep... Rotella sounds like a deal to me.. NOT
