alarms on bike are cool. specialy if you buy the one while the two way R.F. signal. that way if the alarm goes off you would get a signal to the remote. with some alarms like the clifford, the range on the remote to the alarm is about 1/2 mile. which is damb good. if you were to get an alarm on your bike i would add the prox. sensor. it throws a bubble around the bike. and if anyone enters that bubble, it would set the alarm off... it's also adjustable. bad part of an alarm. if you leave the bike sitting for a long period of time, with the alarm on. it will drain the battery. now if anyone really wants your bike. all they have to do is gets some friends and a truck, and away they go... there goes 300 on the alarm and what ever you spent on the bike. and no alarm will stop that... so i hope this helps.

i think the best thing now is to check into lowjack. if your bike gets moved they contact you. and the police are involved. so if it does get taken they can find it. and if it gets moved youll know.

i personnally wouldnt recommend an alarm...they are to expensive and usually it doesn't matter... if they want it they will get it... the best defense is a garage or to put it inside... if you are out and about i would recommend to first park the closest to the door wherever you are at because if someone sees someone trying to put a bike in a truck they will usually question it and may even call the police.... also a disk lock helps, especially those ones that have motion sensors on them... my disk lock will alarm if you just tap my bike....

i just bought the scoripo and now it works great! But only one prob, if it goes off to many times you start to ignore it, like what happened this morning. My elky alarm goes off sometimes, well it went off, i turned it off not realizing the reason it went off. Well 150 dollars later from the window they just broke, just for the heck of it kinda stinks! Alarms are good only it you hear it. Just dont park it in a bad area and things will go well.
