Maybe he wires to the switch are shorting against the frame. Do you have a manual? Look at the 30 amp fuse circuit; it will narrow down your problem. I do believe it's the starter fuse. Clean you connections at the ground lead to the frame and at the starter & solenoid.

i learned from a wise old man (my old man lol) that 99% of the time, electrical problems can be traced back to a chitty ground, although my cousin bought an 05 cbr 600rr that was custom painted (true flames and skulls...looks sick!) and when they put the plastics back on the didn't take into account the wiring harness. smashed the wires into the freakin fan. he drove it for weeks before he had any problems. cut 3 wires right off and scored a bunch. after he found that he fixed them and retaped them. leason learned...be careful puttin ur plastics back on

Get a wiring diagram and do what ^ he said. What fuse is it blowing exactly again? I'll try to do some TS'ing too.

Okay, I'm looking at the wiring diagram and that (Main 30A) fuse is for the starter system. Either your starter isn't gounded good or the negative battery cable is loose or has a bad ground at the frame. Also, check the Black/Yellow wire that comes off the Negative battery cable to make sure that is connected to the main wire harness. Make SURE the cables to the starter relay are clean and tight. If all that is CONFIRMED GOOD, check the starter circuitrelay; both where the fuse is mounted to and inside the junction box.
