Id start by just going over the wiring harness and inspecting for anything that looks cut, pinched , broken .....etc...etc....... it may be visible ( then again maybe not )

Take your seat off, there may be a pinched wire under it and when you ride/ sit un the seat, it shorts against the frame. Does it stay running if you don't ride it? What kind of mods are done? Which fuse blows? Check your battery connections too; especially the negative. Clean & tighten it.

Check the connections at the starter relay and tighten. Look for other wires pinched or shorted. Also look at your handlebar switch wires for pinced wires especiallywhere it goes between the frame & forks. Could be rubbing/ chaffing against a sharp part.
